Dr Rita Lin
Dr Rita Lin graduated from the University of Sydney and obtained her fellowship of the Australian College of Physicians in 1992. Since 1995, she has been a consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Westmead Hospital. Rita is also currently a clinical lecturer in Medicine at the University of Sydney. She is a member of the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
In addition to general Gastroenterology, Rita’s other area of expertise lies in Hepatology and in particular, management of chronic viral hepatitis. Rita was awarded her PhD in 1996 where her area of research has been in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C. Rita continues to be an active member of the clinical research team at the Storr Liver Unit at Westmead Hospital. She has been involved in a number of clinical trials to assess the effectiveness of newer therapies in liver conditions including chronic and viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease and primary liver cancer.
